FontanaArte - Italian Glass Lighting Since 1932
FontanaArte was founded in Milan in 1932 by Gio Ponti - one of the defining architects of twentieth-century Italian design. Under the creative direction of Pietro Chiesa, FontanaArte pioneered sandblasted crystal and glass engraving techniques never before applied to domestic lighting. In the post-war era, Max Ingrand elevated the brand to international renown. Today the collection includes the Bilia, Fontana, Globo di Luce, Nobi, Equatore, Bianca, Flute, Luminator, 0024 and Avico - spanning nearly a century of Italian glass mastery.
