Yamagiwa - Japanese Designer Lighting Since 1923
Since 1923 Yamagiwa was founded in Akihabara, Tokyo in 1923 and has been at the forefront of Japanese lighting design for over a century. The collection features three landmark collaborations: the Mayuhana by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Toyo Ito - a spun fiberglass pendant that has become one of the most recognised Japanese lamps in the world; the Tear Drop by Tokujin Yoshioka - a luminous crystalline form; and the reissued Jakobsson collection - Hans-Agne Jakobsson's celebrated Scandinavian pine designs, manufactured under licence in Japan.
